In regard to the classical form, the poem is comprised of fourteen lines, however, the poem breaks away from the traditional sonnet with its use of unconventional rhyme scheme. The poem has no finished octet, no finished sestet, at least two caesuras with many inexact rhymes. Essentially, the poem seems to make a self-referential statement about its own meaning that exists in a constant evolutionary state. The poem itself endures as the meaning changes, and only through the course of time does the poem fully assemble interpretation. Granted, in order for situational irony to occur, the written words have to take on a new meaning according to their new surrounding context.
